Biography

With over 2 million followers on LinkedIn, Eric Sim, CFA, is one the most followed finance professionals on LinkedIn globally. He is also the author of "Small Actions - Leading Your Career to Big Success", a bestseller in 'job hunting' on Amazon Kindle. Previously when based in Hong Kong, Sim was a managing director at UBS Investment Bank. In his banking career of more than 20 years, he has been involved with derivatives, structured finance and investment banking.

Sim is the founder of Institute of Life (IOL), whose mission is to help professionals become successful at work and in life. He teaches at Queen's University (Smith School of Business) MSc in Finance program as a guest lecturer. EFinancialCareers describes Eric as a star banker helping budding bankers with their careers. Eric is currently based in Singapore.

    I reached out to Eric Sim on 28 Jan 2022 after buying and seeing posts of his book "Small Actions", I have been applying the lessons from Part 2 of his book for 100 days, it builds up my confidence, courage and i feel i can take on this role seriously. I reach out to Eric and I took up this course. It shield a new perspective and light and now I am more eager to improve myself and carry on writing on social media.
